Taking Baby Steps
Loreta had to display patience and bravery if she wanted their mission to succeed. After all, the dog was quite big in terms of size. Provoking a dog is never a good idea, especially if the pooch is a large one. The Hope for Paws member hoped that the dog would not attack out of fear. Dogs can get aggressive when they are scared and might lunge or bite so the threat would move away.
Capturing
The mission was to remove the dog from her spot but still stay safe. However, was this even possible? Many rescue groups use a tool to help them do this. The tool has a lengthy rope with a hole at the end. This hole is supposed to go around the dog’s head. With this tool, they can capture and restrain a dog more easily and safely, and the pooch can be brought to a shelter to be checked.
