No Money
Both Billie, who was still a student pilot, and Peggy, who was a mechanic, did not have any money and had not even considered the possibility of saving for the future. On the day of their wedding, Peggy had given Billie the ring she had worn in high school because she was unable to afford to buy him a regular wedding band. Billie did not care in the least; the only thing that mattered to him was being with Peggy; he believed that everything else will fall into place on its own. Despite the fact that it was a challenging moment that was full of fear and uncertainty, the pair had the utmost faith in the fact that they were in love.
A Difficult Starting
The pair had their sights set on the years to come and were certain that they wanted to expand their family by way of having children. They didn’t have any money, so they had to devise a strategy in order to figure out how they might start a family together despite their situation. They came to the conclusion that Billie would take care of the financial responsibilities of the family, while Peggy would stay at home to tend to the needs of the infant and any subsequent children.
