No Intel
Peggy was desperate to hold on to any and all pieces of information that she could discover. She sincerely hoped that Billie was currently receiving treatment at some hospital. Even Billie’s mother and father were certain in their conviction that their child was merely being processed. Perhaps he had sustained an injury that caused him to lose his memory, and this was the reason why he had not yet returned home to his family. Peggy had an innate sense that something was off, and she wasn’t sure what it was. She had incredibly powerful instincts to continue digging, and she ached to look into the eyes of her cherished Billie. There was absolutely no way that she could have been ready for what was about to take place…
Red Cross Assistance
Peggy first learned that Billie had passed away in 1945, when she made the discovery for herself. Peggy, together with his parents, made every effort to determine where Billie might be, but their inquiries either yielded no results or led them down a path that was ultimately fruitless. Their final option was to get in touch with the Red Cross in the vain hope that someone there may have even the tiniest bit of information that they needed. Peggy was determined to find out what had happened to Billie, and she did not want her daughter to become yet another victim of the war’s atrocities.
