Selma
This historical drama is based on Dr. Martin Luther King’s march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, to secure equal voting rights. While the movie is criticized for the depiction of the relationship between King and President Johnson, the rest of the movie got it right. Important historical scenes were recreated, so despite the controversy, this movie got good reviews and was nominated for an Oscar.
