A sign telling us to find and return a mosquito is fake. But just for now, let’s play along with the joke and pretend. This is terrible luck! It doesn’t give any identifying characteristics about the person in question and doesn’t tell us how to find Aaron. It also ignores the dangers of catching malaria or West Nile fever.

We’ve seen a lot of online advertisements like this before. There’s usually some sort of quiz at the bottom which invites visitors to take the test, though we don’t think anyone would confuse a badger for a cat, do you? Some people just don’t have good eyesight. Some people don’t have enough time to become experts on these creatures. So they might be under the wrong impression that it’s just a harmless cat. If they bother it, we’ll make sure to set them straight.
