The Council Of Jerusalem
The Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church further explained and revealed the significance of James “from an early date, with Peter, a leader of the Church at Jerusalem. And from the time when [he] left Jerusalem after Herod Agrippa’s attempt to kill him, James appears as the principal authority who presided at the Council of Jerusalem.”
Acts Of The Apostle
The name of James also appeared in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Aside from that, it also cropped up in the Acts of the Apostles. He was also mentioned in the Pauline epistles and even popped up in the works of the ancient historians like Eusebius and Jerome.
