In 2015, they excavated a tomb site that dated back to the Bronze Age. The tomb, believed to come from 1450 BC, contained an intact male skeleton. The archaeologists also found 14,000 objects, things from jewelry to weapons. They also saw an engraving that gave them ideas about this man. There is a good chance that he was either a priest or a warrior.

Based on his remains, this man was relatively tall at five foot five inches. On top of that, they found combs that led them to the assumption that this Griffin Warrior had long hair. Tobias Houlton and Lynne Schepartz, physical anthropologists from the University of the Witwatersrand, used his skull to come up with this digital interpretation. They believed he had a strong jaw and close-set eyes.
