What Julius Caesar Really Looked Like

This lifelike bust of Julius Caesar is located in the National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden. They scanned a marble portrait of him with the use of 3D technology. This served as the basis of the 3D reconstruction. After he won the Roman civil war, he went on to become a dictator and started various social and governmental reforms. Among other things, he granted citizenship to those living in the outermost regions of the empire. The Senate did not like these reforms, so they killed him in 44 B.C.
