Owain Glyndwr worked hard to stop English rule in Wales back in the late Middle Ages. The Welsh rebel was born in 1359, began his reign in 1404, and died in 1415. If you have read the Shakespeare play called Henry IV Part 1, you might remember him depicted as a wild and exotic king!
