Bubble Tea

Bubble tea is unquestionably popular all over the world, but no matter how tasty tapioca pearls from China are, you should avoid them. Polychlorinated biphenyls were discovered in these pearls by German researchers in 2012. And, as terrifying as they may sound, these substances are extremely dangerous. In case you didn’t know, it’s thought to cause cancer and affect a variety of body systems, including the neurological, reproductive, immunological, and endocrine systems. According to an investigation, these pearls were discovered to be made in a chemical plant from discarded leather shoe soles and tires.

Shrimps

Gels are commonly used in shrimp in China to increase their weight and, as a result, their earnings. Although some gels are totally safe, others, such as those used in the printing as well as furniture industries, contain lead and mercury. Do you really want any of those things on your plate for dinner? The US Federal Statistical Office revealed that over $150 million worth of shrimp was sourced from China between January and October 2015. The FDA issued a warning about fish coming from China in 2015.
