Twentieth Century Fox was eager for Selleck to sign a deal with them after he started to attract attention. The talent department of the studio wanted to get him before others did. Selleck knew this was not an opportunity to pass up on! After signing with them, he attended a training class the following day. He was clearly a smart cookie!
