Soon after, Sam played “card player #2”, a minor role in the big movie, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Although it wasn’t the leading role, Sam knew that it would bring him to a greater future. Amazingly, it was the same film that he and his future wife, Katharine Ross, starred in.

Flying Below The Radar
Elliott continued to appear in television with minor roles from the late 1960’s to the early 1970’s. He was in shows including Bracken’s World, Lancer, Land of the Giants, and The F.B.I. Starring as Richie Robinson in The Games finally gave him the break that he had wanted.
