Sam joined the cast of Parks and Recreation in 2017 as Ron Dunn. He confessed his deep affection for the character he played in one interview. He said that he still felt lucky landing such a role even after almost 50 years of acting as he was a huge fan of the show.

Wendell Berry And Sam Elliott
Sam Elliott once mentioned that he was a fan of Wendell Berry and that he would grab an opportunity to eat with him. Wendell’s response was quite interesting as he was recorded to have said, “Well, my God, I’ll build a truck, and then I’ll drive the truck to ferry him to dinner at the table of his choosing. I would walk a very long mile to share a sleeve of Saltines with Sam, let alone a plate of steak.”
