Sam’s co-star in Grace and Frankie is Jane Fonda who actually played his love interest in the show. Sam and Jane were asked about what they think about each other on separate occasions. Surprisingly, they both admitted to having special feelings towards each other for quite some time.

Sam spoke first and emphasized that he didn’t have any personal contact with Jane. He said that he only saw her in movies and loved how beautiful she was. He was quoted to have said, “I had never worked with Jane. I knew her from back in the days when she was with Ted Turner (her third husband). I didn’t know her personally…only loved her from afar over the course of her career.” He also said, “[in Klute] she was so beautiful, and Jane’s a beautiful woman today, inside and out.”
