Getting Replaced
Sadly, it wasn’t all sunny days for Sam Elliott, especially after he had his big break. One example was when he couldn’t continue filming The Ambush Murderer. He was supposed to portray a lawyer whose job was to defend a black political activist who was unfairly accused of killing two white policemen. Elliott got sick while shooting the film, so he had to be replaced by James Brolin.

Making It Official
Sam and Katharine finally tied the knot in 1984, making their union official. In that same year, the couple got Cleo Rose, their first and only child. It was indeed a happy year for the couple.
