New Stairs
The story John posted online became popular, resulting in it being shared 430 times. This led to John raising enough money to start renovating the shelter. His goal was $2,000, out of which he already made $350. This proved there were a lot of people who believed in his important project. John managed to complete the staircase in a safe way with the beginning of the funds. Now it’s easy to climb down to the shelter without worrying that the stairs would fall apart. To make the process more meaningful, he shared the step-by-step progress with the people who donated money.
Restored
It took a while to rebuild the steps of the shelter and John did not want to cut any corners in the process. He made the top step 2.5 times wider than the other stairs while securing it to the concrete wall as well. After the stairs were rebuilt, the restoration of the inside went more smoothly. People were extremely impressed by this entire process and decided to make a donation to the cause.
