Who would have thought that a 96-year-old woman can maintain a place like this all on her own? Of course, the popularity made the price skyrocket some more. For people who had been paying attention to the story, the house probably felt more like a museum than a home to live in. Inside, the house looked like something from the ‘40s in nearly every single way imaginable. Joyce chose not to alter everything that she could still afford to keep intact.

Although the place remained largely the same, Joyce confessed that there was one part of the house that underwent renovation. During the ‘60s, she decided to modernize the kitchen to add modern conveniences back then. The original design was, of course, not particularly practical. For her, the only thing she needed was to cook more efficiently. Despite the previous update happening in the ‘60s, all of the appliances inside the house remained in good working order. When you consider how much she took care of the home, it should not be very surprising to hear that this is the case. This made perfect sense to the sisters. It truly was like a time capsule home.
