She started her journey towards motherhood immediately after she turned into an adult. After Nadya Suleman graduated high school in her hometown in California, she started her quest in making the family that she had always wanted, now as a woman. She also wanted to go to college just like everybody else her age. Despite this new desire, her dream of becoming a mother was still more important for her. But as the old saying goes we must really be careful of what we wish for, because we might just get it. A young woman and, as others would say, a bit too ignorant for the ways of the world, Nadya got what she wanted – in exponentially bigger proportions!

Nadya’s First Love
In her early twenties, Nadya Suleman met Marcos Gutierrez, a produce manager. We can only assume that he was charming as Nadya immediately felt drawn to him, and that connection turned into something meaningful and deep. The two – as stories often go – fell madly in love. She was very honest with Gutierrez in expressing her desire to have children. At first, it wasn’t a problem because, like Nadya, Gutierrez also wanted to have children of his own. Unfortunately, they were not meant to have the offspring that they wanted together.
