Dried Fruit
There’s a reason we call these snacks “dried fruit”, well, because they’re dry! If you put them in your refrigerator, you run the risk of getting them full of moisture which will impact the taste and texture of the dehydrated fruit. You should keep dried fruits in a dark and dry place, preferably in an airtight container.
Syrup
Since most syrups have a very high sugar concentration, they can easily withstand the elements and be left outside of the fridge even after they’ve been opened. And of course, let’s face it, when you put syrup in the fridge, like honey, it becomes really hard, and I could think of nothing worse when you’re trying to pour some over your pancakes!
