Harvey Weinstein made a ton of money in Hollywood, together with his brother Bob, as the director of Miramax and The Weinstein Company production companies. As a visionary with an ability to find odd, indie projects which had massive potential, Harvey was highly lauded. His accomplishment with films such as Silver Linings Playbook and The Artist earned Weinstein a personal wealth of around $300 million, a significant chunk of which he spent on Hollywood-to-The Hamptons real estate holdings. Starting in late 2016, multitudes of accusations of professional misconduct and assault spurred a pushback toward Weinstein, contributing his business to bankruptcy as of February 2018.
