She even starred alongside Frank Sinatra in the movie Assault on a Queen. Lisi was considered the new Marilyn Monroe and ruled both American and Italian cinemas. She starred in many Italian films in the 1950’s, before crossing over to the U.S. market.

The Groovy Era wouldn’t be the same without the amazing Saturday Night Live. The show premiered around the middle of the 1970’s. The lineup of the original cast included John Belushi, Jane Curtin, Dan Aykroyd, Garett Morris, Chevy Chase, Michael O’Donoghue, George Coe, Laraine Newman, and Gilda Radner. The show quickly became a cult favorite and set trends all over the country. The Baby Boomer demographic pretty much brought the show to mainstream TV. Although Baby Boomers are not known for watching TV a lot, you can be sure they didn’t miss an episode of SNL.
