She slowly got up from her chair and took in the serene and peaceful surroundings of her own home as she did so. Abby was aware that she would be spending supper alone with her father because her mother had gone to the home of a friend for the meal. However, it would appear that he has also departed. Abby found it odd that she was in her house alone herself because she was aware that she wasn’t supposed to be there. She had just turned twelve when we met her.

When she heard a buzz coming from his jacket, she reasoned that because he was only wearing trousers and a T-shirt, he couldn’t be too far away. Then she became aware of a sound coming from the backyard. What exactly was the circumstance?
