Ginger
In 2013, China Central Television aired a documentary about ginger farms near Weifang. (CCTV). Even though the pesticide aldicarb is only permitted for use on select crops, including peanuts, roses, cotton, and sweet potatoes, it was sprayed on ginger at a rate 3-6 times greater than the permissible maximum.
