The king of rock didn’t always have an interest in rock – or music in general. As a matter of fact, he got his first guitar when he was only 11, but immediately after he got it, he learned not just to play, but to play well. Elvis Presley originally wanted a rifle but his mother gave him a guitar instead since she didn’t want him to get his hands on a gun. Needless to say, that played in his advantage, but as you’ll learn, Presley never actually lost his interest in firearms.
