She was raised as a Roma Catholic. In 2014, she expounded about her thoughts on this: “It’s important for people to have something they can touch and believe in.” She explained further by saying, “I say that to believe in yourself is to believe in God. For me, God is life itself, the birds, the air, the sunrise and the sunset, the children. Yes, that is where I find God. Not in a church.”

She did not only break records in North America but in Europe as well. She even managed to do well in a difficult market: France. “D’amour ou d’amitié”, “Of Love or of Friendship” in English, went gold there.
