Certified Diamond
The Record Industry Association of America started to award “diamond status” to albums with more than 10 million copies. This began in 1999. It is not an easy feat to achieve, but Celine Dion has managed to do this not only once but twice! The two certified diamond albums are “Falling Into You” and “Let’s Talk About Love” which came out in the consecutive years of 1996 and 1997.

A Best Selling Female Artist
Aside from that, record executives started to track sales with the use of the Nielson Soundscan System in 1991. According to the data they retrieved, she is one of the top-selling female musicians in Canada and the United States. Mariah Carey and Rihanna are the only ones to top her sales.
