William Roache – Ken Barlow from Coronation Street
Actor William Roache made his debut in the role of Ken Barlow in the first episode of the soap opera Coronation Street in 1960, and he is still going strong after six decades on the show. He became the show’s longest-serving cast member, setting a Guinness World Record in the process. At first, he was cast in minor roles and even did uncredited work. His first major role would be on Coronation Street.

We’ve all seen and loved actress Pam St Clement as EastEnders’ legendary Pat Butcher with the large earring, but she finally left Albert Square after 25 years, only to return a few times. She made a few appearances on TV shows after leaving the show, particularly reality shows like Loose Women and Gone to Pot: American Road Trip, in addition to starring in Casualty.
