You might think that this is an older lady in the image below, but the truth is that it is a photo of Zara at the age of 7. Zara, together with her mother, suffers from a rare disease known as lipodystrophy. At the age of 16, she was offered a 4-hour facelift to change her appearance. She decided to take this opportunity to change this aspect of her life. She flew from the United Kingdom to the United States to undergo the procedure and met with a lipodystrophy expert by the name of Dr. Abu Garg. This was how they found out that the two women were suffering from an even rarer condition called Cutis Laxa.

Spina bifida is a condition that affects the spine. Yanira Guzman has been suffering from it ever since she was born. The condition makes it almost impossible to even walk. She has been getting physical therapy from the Wolfson Children’s Rehabilitation and made it her goal to stand by her 15th birthday. In the end, she achieved this goal of hers! According to her, she will not let the condition prevent her from living life to the fullest. She said, “Just keep trying and never give up and just reach for the stars.”
