The Works Of Roman Historians
There were other sources where the scholars got their information about the life of Jesus. One most crucial source they ever found was in the works Roman historians Publius Cornelius Tacitus and Titus Flavius Josephus. For example, in Tacitus’ volume Annals, he stated Pontius Pilate, who was the Roman Governor of Judea, was the one who killed Jesus. There were matching contents in the book telling the same person who killed the Messiah.
Jesus And James
Josephus was Jewish and originally was given a Hebrew name Yosef ben Matityahu at birth. Also, he was living in Jerusalem, where it was in the Roman province of Judea. He was born in thirty-seven A.D. His work in that period was about both Jesus and his brother named James.
