Janis Joplin sure was one talented lady. She was one of the headliners for Woodstock! On Saturday night she played until 2 AM, the crowd’s hearts and souls in the palm of her hand the entire time. Since going solo, this was her biggest show.

Although there was an admission fee to enter, the organizers soon gave up when the masses and masses of people kept coming. The happy people flooded the campgrounds, and the organizers knew there was no point in trying to limit the number of attendees.
