A Soho Social Star
Neff derived benefit from her association with Anna because she was attempting to launch her cinematography career with the assistance of all of Anna’s connections. What puzzled Neff was how Anna, who seemed to know everything about the city, strove to establish a connection with Neff by repeatedly asking for her ideas on where to go and what to do. Anna and Neff quickly became excellent friends, and they spent a lot of their time together. Regarding her relationship with Anna, Neff stated that she was simply “sitting there and listening because that’s your concierge life.” She was used to greeting people with a smile, but she didn’t tend to become friends with them outside of her workday. The two became so close that they began going out together on a regular basis.
$100 Tips
As previously said, Anna was well-known for being an exceptionally generous tipper, handing out $100 bills to a large number of people on a daily basis. “People would fight to take her gifts upstairs,” Neff recalled. “They would fight because they knew they were going to earn $100 out of it.” The only thing she paid in cash was $100 bills, which she used to pay for everything. No one questioned her behavior, and everyone felt it was just a normal aspect of her ultra-luxurious lifestyle, which it was. In the course of their time together, “She donated to everyone,” Neff recounted. “Drivers, $100 cash. Meals… You know the feeling you get when you grab for your credit card? “I couldn’t because she wouldn’t let me.” Neff also revealed that Anna had spent $4,5000 on a personal trainer, who she had hired herself. Her European accent and proclivity for tipping made it abundantly evident how affluent she was.
