Theodore Roosevelt was not only the president, but he was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman who enjoyed the great outdoors. In this photograph, taken in 1909, he is shown with a bull elephant. This has had to be one of his most impressive kills to date.

He previously stated that he enjoyed hunting since it provided him with a thrilling experience. Following his term in government, he embarked on a highly publicized hunting expedition. He was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of creatures, ranging from fish to birds to black rhinos. They are now considered to be critically endangered.
