Huarmey Queen
The Huarmey Queen was an important figure in the Wari culture. These people lived in the coastal areas in the Andes Mountains and the south-central Andes from 700 to 1000 AD. This makes her as old as the Great Pyramid of Giza! They found her in the Ancash region, specifically in El Castillo de Huarmey. It was a well-preserved mausoleum. She was buried there with 57 noblewomen.
What The Huarmey Queen Really Looked Like
They decided to give the Huarmey Queen a physical form to make her even more realistic-looking. What makes the discovery of the mausoleum so fascinating is the fact that she and the noblewomen were seated in rows of fives. They were also buried with silver bowls, jewelry, and other amazing artifacts.
