King Henry IV
King Henry IV, also called “Henry the Great” or “Good King Henry”, became the King of Navarre when he was 19 years old. Two months after that, he got married. The city was flooded by protestants as they celebrated, but it soon became the “St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre.” He barely survived and served in the French Court.

Records say he survived 12 attempts on his life! Researchers chose him for the recreation project since they admired his religious tolerance. Philippe Froesch and Philippe Charlier worked on this recreation. The Good King failed to survive the 13th attempt on his life. In 1610, he was stabbed by a Catholic man.
