When George went down on his knees in order to get a better look at the spot, Crosby let out cheerful barks once more. All of a sudden, George heard a shocking noise and he froze. “What on earth was that?” he muttered. His heart started to pound hard against his chest. He realized that something was in the wall. So, this was why his dog had been acting strange!

There Was A Hole
George saw that there was a particular spot in the wooden panelling near the floor which had gotten loose, so he tore it off. He was surprised to see that there was a hole in the drywall. Taking a deep breath, George squeezed his hand into the hole until his elbow was inside the wall. He felt around the space, and then he touched something which made his eyes grow wide in disbelief.
