George took his time cleaning the kitten. He used a damp cloth to wipe off the dust on her fur. While he was doing this, he saw Crosby wagging his tail energetically and looking happy. From the way things looked, the kitten was probably a couple of months old at most. George actually had no idea how to look after her. He was hoping that the real owners of the kitten had been looking for her.

After he cleaned up the kitten, George began to look for her owners. His efforts sadly did not pay off. He hung up posters and talked to his neighbors, but no one came forward and claimed the kitten. Some of his neighbors told George that they saw the kitten in the streets and that she was probably a stray. After this, George decided to bring the kitten to the vet.
