By using an attractive nurse, this 1950’s ad tries to illustrate Coca Cola as a great way to quench thirst. Originally Coca-Cola was said to offer health benefits. It was even suggested that it could cure diseases such as nerve trouble and morphine addiction.
Butter
We get that the purpose is to promote butter. But come on, what does being untruthful in an advertisement do for anyone! Butter is good and good for you? Says who… And what’s worse, using a child eating pounds of butter? It’s clear, parents around the world didn’t find this too amusing when their young kids came to them requesting butter!
