Clean Your Piano Keys
Here’s a quick and easy technique to remove filthy fingerprints and spots off your piano keys. Dip a delicate cloth into a solution of 1/2 cup white vinegar and 2 cups water, squeeze out the excess liquid until there are no drips left, and then gently wipe each key clean. As you walk, use a second cloth to dry off the keys, then leave the keyboard exposed for 24 hours.
Using Vinegar To Repair Rugs
If your rugs or carpets are looking old and dingy from too much foot activity, brush them with a clean push broom dipped in a solution of 1 cup white vinegar in 1 gallon (3.7 liters) water. Your faded threads will brighten, and you will not need to rinse the solution away. You can prevent mildew from forming on the bottoms of rugs and carpeting by spraying them with full-strength white vinegar from a spray bottle.
