He had ten top-spot songs and was named in 2011 and 1984 respectively in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame. Diamond is renowned for its humor as well. Will Ferrell parodied him on SNL and so loved the sketch that he appeared in the comedian’s last May 2002 broadcast alongside Ferrell.
