We can’t believe Yara Shahidi didn’t have any lip balm when she posted that selfie of herself. Although lip balm isn’t technically makeup, she is correct in claiming that the selfie is makeup-free. The 18-year-old star of Black-ish, a part of its spin-off series Grown-ish, is only 18 years old. We’re glad she’s grown into such a self-assured young woman who isn’t afraid to show her true colors.

Dua Lipa’s signature lower lip is only enhanced by the application of lipstick, but she wasn’t afraid to show us what it looks like without it. Like many other celebrities, Lipa should have become more conscious of her public image as she has become known as a symbol of intimacy around the world. After all, it is the 21st century, and the One Kiss singer is unquestionably embracing it by remaining true to herself.
