The actor was recently interviewed by Closer Weekly. It was during this sit down that he got to talk about leaving the show. He said, “Magnum, P.I. went to 163 shows and we still had ground to cover, and I wasn’t tired of it. I was tired of it because I was in every shot.” With that said, he must be enjoying working on Blue Bloods since he is not required in every single scene of the show.

However, this is not the only reason he decided to leave the show. “I quit Magnum to have a family,” he explained, “It took a long time to get off the train, but I try very hard to have balance.” Clearly, this was a man who knew what he wanted and did not look back.
