On His Usual Role
Like many other actors, Sam Elliott has been typecast as a certain kind of character in most movies. He put it best when he said, “I’ve spent my entire career on horseback or on a motorcycle. It boxes you in, the way people perceive you. I read a lot of scripts. Most of ’em go to other actors.” Either way, he definitely kicks butt at what he does, regardless of the role.
On Influencing People
There are many different philosophies about influencing people for good and for bad. But perhaps Sam Elliott has put it best. He said, “I think anytime you can affect people in general, in a positive way, then you’re a lucky individual.” How true is that?
