Those who collect data The Central Texas Geocachers have outlined what needs to be accomplished to cooperate with the Purple Paint Law in a clear and concise manner. “[The paint marking] must be vertical, at least eight inches long [and] at least one inch wide. [The] bottom of the mark should be between three to five feet above the ground.”
How To Make The Markings
“[Purple paint] markings can be no more than 100 feet apart in timberland. ” the Geocachers continued. On open land, “Markings can be no more than 1,000 feet apart on open land, [and] they must be in a place visible by those approaching the property.”
