The Treasure Act
In The Treasure Act 1996, created by the Parliament of the United Kingdom, the finder of any sort of object that can be classified as treasure has no choice but to report their discovery. This law is legally binding.

The Law
The Treasure Act of 1996 says that a found object older than 300 years old that contains 10 percent precious metals and is not a coin must be reported to the coroner within a period of 14 days.
