Shelley Duvall
In the Robert Altman movies, Shelley Duvall got her start and helped to get Hollywood producers’ attention. She then performed roles in films like McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Nashville, Brewster McCloud, Thieves Like Us, and 3 Women, but her roles in The Shining and Popeye were what made her well-known. Duvall retired from acting in the early 2000s, but she still works as a producer for different shows for children these days. Dr. Phil and USA Today called Duvall mentally ill back in 2016, which caught the headlines.
Carly Simon
Carly Simon’s first album was released in 1971, and it included the popular single “That’s the Way I’ve Always Heard it Should Be.” It was such a big hit that, in only a few months, she released another album. However, when she released the hit song ‘You’re so Vain’ in 1972, Simon only experienced true stardom. Recently touring with Taylor Swift, Simon continues to perform to this day and wrote a memoir in 2015, which included details about her childhood and her failed marriage to fellow singer James Taylor.
