Christina Haberkern was looking for a companion for the handicapped Labrador she owned when she met Marty. It’s hard to believe but it was actually their labrador, Zoe, that pulled them to the pen where Marty was. The dogs touched noses and wagged their tales, and everyone could tell they had an instant connection. It was pretty obvious who they were taking home that day.

You can see she wasn’t so sure about what was happening on that day many years ago, but look at her now! Her mother explained, “Suki has been a major support for me, especially for my mood disorders.
