The actress posed with Robert Allen Ackerman, the play Extremities producer, outside the Duchess Theatre in London. At a photocall, this was shot. The play is an off-Broadway production that premiered on the 22nd of December, 1982. In the London production, Mirren appeared, but Susan Sarandon produced the lead role. Later, the role was taken over by Farrah Fawcett, and her success was critically praised. In the film adaptation, she also appeared.
