Exhausted
By this point, Christopher was both mentally and physically exhausted. The day completely wore him down. When he rested his head in his hands, he suddenly felt a tug. Out of nowhere, he felt something pulling at his feet.

He stumbled backward and fell in the process. This was the last straw for him. He needed to get out of there and ask for help immediately. Maybe there was a rational explanation for what was going on. He started his car and drove to the nearest cafe he could find.
