From the start of his career in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters’ Local 299, he proved to the members of it that he can be effective even if he’s only new to the company. He consolidated union trucker groups into regional sectors. He even managed to double the membership from 75,000 boosting to 170,000 by the year 1936 and even reached 420,000 members in the year 1939. And by the year 1951, the company, Teamsters union had reached the top place of acquiring one million members.

Quickie Strikes
The name Quickie Strikes was used as a strategy or tactic and solitary action amongst the boycotting members and workers. Hoffa was also able to achieve and secure many valuable contracts, which is the reason why Teamsters is one of the most powerful unions in their country at that time. But unfortunately, Hoffa was not only relying on his business acumen to get his job done.
