Now here’s a fact that is slightly difficult to digest. Tina Louise didn’t really enjoy hanging out off set with her costars. In addition, she was rarely around for group interviews too. Maybe it had something to do with her not wanting to be typecast as her chracter or maybe it was something else. Louise has never explained herself.

This is a question fans have desperately wanted answers to. Why was Gilligan’s Island taken off the air after just three seasons? Fret not, we’ve got the answer. At the time, the series had pretty poor ratings therefore the network decided that it could work in a less expensive time slot instead. However the executives made the final decision that it was best to take the series off air completely once they chose to run the series Gunsmoke.
